Tuition is due at the first lesson of each month. Most months have four weeks, a few five. Please make note of this when you write your check. A family discount is given for additional siblings, i.e.: $45 / $35 for two students taking lessons at the same time.
If you are planning to discontinue lessons for any reason, you must provide 30 days notice. Tuition is non-refundable.
2. LESSON TIME
Students should arrive 5 minutes early in order to receive a full lesson. Arriving late will not guarantee a full 30 minute lesson since the schedule is full. We welcome guests and siblings at lessons, but please keep distractions to a minimum.
Located at Independence Mall inside Life Community Church's Branches Bookstore. Park between Sears and Ruby Tuesday. There is a service entrance with the banner, "Come As You Are." Enter there and walk down the hallway to the interior of the mall and Sears. Across and slightly to the right is the bookstore.
4. MAKEUP LESSONS
ILM Guitar School has a no cancellation policy but it’s important to us to keep things flexible since life is full of surprises and all of our lives are busy! However, we have full schedules and our time is as valuable as yours. If you miss a lesson please remember we are here waiting for the students to attend. Make up lessons will be available Saturdays of the month the lesson was missed. Please provide more than 24 hours notice, otherwise we would have to charge you for that lesson.
Occasionally we may miss a lesson due to a professional perfromance. We will inform you ASAP and can make up the lesson on a Saturday.
5. HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS
We try our best to accommodate everyone's schedule, but because most of our students attend New Hanover County Schools, we try to follow their vacation schedule for:
Thanksgiving - no class Thursday, Friday, Saturday of that week.
Christmas Break - no class between Christmas and New Year's Day
Spring Break - no class during the week before Easter Sunday
6. SUMMER LESSONS
During the summer months, each student is encouraged to attend lessons in order to continue developing their skills and hold their spot for the fall. Summer lessons are creatively scheduled to fit your vacation/camp schedules.
Recitals are a great way for the students to show off their skills and build self esteem. Recitals are included in your monthly tuition and will be performed annually. They are casual at this point and include immediate family only. In the future, if enough students and parents are interested, we may rent a hall and have a group event.
